Intel currently invests over $100 million per year in over 50 countries to promote education efforts in these areas.

    Intel Teach Advanced Online training in Jordan

    Intel Teach Advanced Online training in JordanAmman, 3rd March 2008 – A 4-days “Intel Teach – Advanced Online” training session was delivered last week to 21 Jordanian Senior Teachers delivered by Danny Arati (Online Programmes Manager for Intel Education) and Bill How (ICT Development Co-ordinator for Specialist Schools and Academies Trust, England). The session was hosted at the Queen Rania Al Abdullah Center for Learning Technologies in Amman. The Senior Teachers attending this training are also called the “Champions”, as they are the first explorers of the programme and will contribute to the adaptation and contents of the new Jordanian Learning Paths.       A Successful Intel Teach Advanced Online Consortium focuses on LMS and Community

      Feldkirchen/Munich, 1st February 2008 – The 6th International Intel® Teach – Advanced Online Consortium Meeting held on the 30th and 31st January in Feldkirchen/Munich was motivated by the desire to take the current programme to a completely new level, by combining the latest findings on e-learning with the latest developments in Learning Management Systems (LMS). The main goal of the meeting, attended by government representatives of the 7 participating countries and by Intel Education, was to find common ways on how to extend the reach of the platform by building a solid online community of teaching practitioners, while also expanding the professional development courses offered as blended learning concepts via the platform.         UNESCO guidelines for teachers to use information and communication technology (ICT)

        London, 1st February 2008 – UNESCO guidelines for teachers to use information and communication technology (ICT) to improve education were presented to education ministers from more than 100 countries and to the press at the Moving Young Minds Conference in London. Developed in cooperation with Cisco, Intel and Microsoft, as well as the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) and the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), the ICT Competency Standards for Teachers have been designed to help educational policy-makers and curriculum developers identify the skills teachers need to harness technology in the service of education.
