University Curriculum Advisory Board

The curriculum advisor board program provides Intel technologists to serve as advisors to the universities to improve and upgrade the university curriculum to align with industry needs. The role of an advisor is to identify the curriculum gap, to build on critical skills and to provide clear directions to the academic community for students to be industry ready. The curriculum advisor board comes in two categories:

Invited Curriculum Advisor: Based on the invitation from the universities, Intel Malaysia Higher Education team will identify representatives from various business group to sit as members of the curriculum advisor board at the University in the areas of Silicon Design, Networking, Packaging Technology, Operation Research, Finance, Statistic and Information System.

Selected Curriculum Advisor: Intel Malaysia Higher Education team works with selected business groups to advise on certain technologies through the implementation of world class curriculum into faculty existing curriculum. Identified curriculum advisors acting as `sponsors or mentors’ for each faculty to build on certain skills required by the industry. The areas that currently the business groups are working closely with the universities are VLSI Design, Network Processor and Packaging Technology.
