The 6th Intel – Government of Gujarat Technology in Education Awards 2010-2011 ceremony was held at Auditorium Hall, Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Examination Board, Gandhinagar on 06 September 2011. The Chief Guest for the event was Shri Hasmukh Adhia, Principal Secretary, Education, Government of Gujarat and the Guest of Honour was Shri H. K. Patel, Deputy Chairman, GSHSEB. Shri Kishore Balaji, Head, South-West India, Corporate Affairs, Mr. Malay Shodhan, BDM-Gujarat and Shri Nirbhay Lumde, Operation Manager, were present at the event as representatives from Intel. Teachers, principals and students in a large number participated in the event.
The objective of the event was,

To celebrate the successful association between Intel and the Department of Education, Gujarat.

To felicitate the Gujarat Government stakeholders, academicians, schools, teachers and student teachers who have shown outstanding performance in ICT integration in school curriculum.

To encourage teachers and student teachers of the Gujarat government to integrate innovative teaching methods to promote 21st century skills among students.

To showcase the impact of effective technology integration in Gujarat schools.
The function began with welcoming the honorable guests on dais. The Chief guest Shri Hasmukh Adhia, Principal Secretary, Education, Government of Gujarat and Mr. Kishore Balaji, Head, South-West India, Corporate Affairs, Intel.
Shri Nirbhay Lumde, Operation Manager, Intel Education Programs gave welcoming speech to the audience.
Mr. Kishore Balaji, Head, South-West India, Corporate Affairs, Intel made a key note presentation. He congratulated the winners and stressed on the important aspect of collaboration among teachers for better teaching-learning practices in the classroom.

Post the key note address, certificates were distributed to the winners by the Chief Guest to using Open Source for PBL implementation and 10 Student Teachers.

Dr. Adhia congratulated all the winners of Technology in Education Award 2010 and said that these teachers should motivate and guide their fellow teachers to use technology in their classroom. He added that now it is not possible to think about Education without ICT.
