Invitation Letter

It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the “Global Symposium on ICT in Education” jointly organized by the Korean Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, the World Bank, UNESCO, and the Korea Education & Research Information Service (KERIS) in partnership with Intel Asia Pacific. The symposium will be held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Seoul, South Korea from November 7th to November 10th, 2011. The working language of the symposium is English.

This symposium will focus on helping policy makers establish effective and systematic ICT in education policies by sharing various ideas. Thus, the main objectives of the course are to share and discuss search results of ICT in education indicators and data, address the complex issues of establishing ICT in education policy, provide a bigger picture of smart education for paving the way for future education. In addition, the symposium aims to develop global cooperative networks so as to collaboratively share ideas, experience and best practices of ICT in education.

We are also pleased to inform you that your participation in the symposium will be sponsored by the Korea Education and Research Information Service (KERIS). Accommodation and meals for the duration of your stay, as well as an economy class round-trip airplane ticket from your home country to Seoul, South Korea, by the most direct route, will be arranged for and covered by KERIS. Our staff will contact you regarding your travel after you have confirmed your participation.

A Confirmation of Participation Form is attached to this invitation. Please complete and return this form to Ms. Jeongha Kim by email to at your earliest convenience should you choose to participate, but no later than September 10, 2011.
