Q1: Where is the conference venue?
A1: This year the Asia Academic Forum 2010 is held at Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Address: 88 Dong Khoi Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. For more information on the venue, please visit:

Q2:If I register myself on the site to attend the conference, do I have to bear some costs to attend the conference?
A2:Intel will arrange for the following:
- Airport transfers to & from
- One single room for 3 nights from 9th to 11th Nov'10, or 4 nights from 9th to 12th Nov'10. If you attend the Day3 workshop.
- Gala Dinner at Day 1
- Group city tour at Day 2
The cost for the above will be taken care by Intel if you are an invited guest from the academia. For others Intel will make hotel booking with direct payment by guest as billing instructions.
 
Q3:How do I know if I have been successfully registered?
A3:After Successful form submission, it will automatically redirect to a Thank You Page message. This page will automatically redirect to AAF home page in 5 seconds.

Please note that the username & password used for one person should not be used for registering another person. If do so, the first person's record will be overwriting!
 
Q4:When is the final date for registration?
A4:Registration ends on October 31st, 2010.
 
Q5:What meals will be taken care by organizers?
A5:Breakfast: 10th to 12th Nov’10 and 13th Nov for participants attending Day3 Multicore conference.
Lunch: 10th to 11th Nov’10; lunch on 12th will be included if you attend the third day conference.
Dinner: 10th Nov’10
 
Q6:Where is the stay arranged for the participants/delegates?
A6:The delegates stay has been organized at "Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers " located in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam (same as the conference venue).
 
Q7:What do I do when I reach the Tan San Nhat airport, Ho Chi Minh City?
A7:After you land, kindly proceed to collect your baggage, post immigration checks and find the event staff hold the placard of "Welcome to AAF2010" near the exit gate, and then the staff will guide you to take the shuttle bus to hotel.
 
Q8:How far is the hotel from the airport?
A8:The airport is located quite close to the city center. The drive would take approx 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.
 
Q9:What is the present room tariff at the hotel per person for one night stay?
A9:The rate is around VND2,900,000 (about $150) including taxes for single room occupancy. If you need extra nights or double room, you will need to pay the differences and state clearly your request on the Additional Comments section at the end of the registration page

The cost for 9th, 10th, 11th of Nov’10 (and 12th of Nov for participants who attend Day3 Multicore conference) will be taken care by Intel for invited guests from the academia. All other extra costs have to be settled by the participants directly.
 
Q10:What do I have to pay extra?
A10:Your mini bar expenses and room service expenses, long distance calls from the room, spa bills, consumption of alcohol or tobacco from the hotel, private taxi ride and extended stay if any.
 
Q11:What is the dress code?
A11:"Smart Business Casual" is the forum dress code. AAF 2010 badge is mandatory to enter the conference venue and for all outbound activities arranged.
 
Q12:How is the weather in Ho Chi Minh?
A12:Generally the climate of Ho Chi Minh city is hot and humid. November is the end of rain season and Near the beginning of dry season in Ho Chi Minh city with average temperature around 27. During the day it can get quite hot but the night is cooler, rain is expected but not too much. November is a quite comfortable month of the year to visit in Ho Chi Minh city.
 
Q13:Can I communicate with people in English in Ho Chi Minh City?
A13:The official language in Ho Chi Minh City is Vietnamese but basic English conversation is alright in this city.
