Enhancement Activities
Enhancement ActivitiesSince 2004, teachers trained under the Intel® Teach Program are provided additional support to enhance implementation. The support comes in the form of forums for Master Trainers and Participant Teachers, Enhancement Trainings and Refresher Trainings. To date, close to 16,000 teachers have been reached across the country through these forums and enhancement activities.

A series of forums are held with teachers, which provides them with an opportunity to share ideas to enhance implementation, discuss common issues that they face and what the possible solutions can be, and showcase their portfolios and lesson plans so that others can learn. Concepts learnt during the Intel® Teach trainings are reinforced, and the forums serve as a platform to introduce new concepts to promote inquiry-based learning in the classroom.

Enhancement and refresher trainings are held with Master Trainers, especially those participants who have been with the program for more than 2 years. Refreshers are also held for Intel’s District Trainers who are responsible for holding batches in the most remote districts throughout the year. The main objective of these trainings is to keep participants up to date about changes and improvements in curriculum, new concepts and new focus areas. Reinforcement of trainings and concepts is also stressed upon, while follow-up support is provided by Intel® to facilitate classroom implementation of trainings.

Leadership Forums

Leadership ForumsThe Intel® Teach Program focuses on effective integration of technology, particularly ICT, in teaching. It is essential that Principals understand the need and effectiveness of technology in Education as a means of sustainable changes pertaining to technology integration in their institutions.

A Principal is the key person in any education institution and it is imperative that he or she helps teachers to implement technology aided learning. To ensure its effective and judicious use, principals need to develop strategies to encourage and motivate teachers to integrate technology, enhance student learning and ensure the optimum use of available resources.

A number of workshops and seminars are offered by Intel® Education in this regard.

Principal Awareness workshops are held to inform principals about the Intel® Teach Program. The main aim is to discuss latest developments towards the integration of technology into the curriculum. Principals are also convinced to have a long term partnership with Intel® Education in order to enhance teaching and learning approaches and provide progress in these areas according to the international standards.
