In February 2010, Intel signed a three-year Memorandum of Understand (MOU) with the Ministry of Education, Government of Pakistan to train school, college, and university teachers on the Intel® Teach Program. Intel® Teach, part of the Intel® Education Initiative, helps K–12 teachers around the world understand how, when, and where to bring technology tools and resources into their classrooms.
Also in Pakistan, Intel signed an MOU with IT company, Viper Technology, to help train the adults on technology literacy skills. Viper staff members have been trained on the Intel Easy Steps Basic Course, a pilot program that has been implemented in Pakistan, designed to help address deficiencies in IT literacy for the country’s adult population.
These MOUs are an important aspect of the Intel® Education Initiative, whereby Intel joins hands with various stakeholders, including the Federal and Provincial Ministries of Education; strategic partners; and NGOs.
