Intel Higher Education Program Hosts Asia Academic Forum in Vietnam

In November this year Intel hosted the sixth Asia Academic Forum in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The event was attended by over 75 delegates from 37 universities in eight Asian countries including China, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, and Vietnam. The theme of the forum was “Accelerating the Future through Technology Innovation and Research”.

The event was designed to provide an opportunity for interaction among the university faculty and senior Intel technologists to learn about new technologies and research directions and to discuss the impact that continually advancing technology has on the curriculum used at their respective schools.

The event included keynotes and 3 content tracks that were focused on Systems and Architecture, Silicon & Manufacturing Technologies, and Software for Multi-core and System-on-Chip (SOC) technologies.

The event was supported by 19 senior managers and technologists, including Intel Fellows, and Intel Principle Engineers, who led sessions in the content tracks and made themselves available for discussion with attendees on a variety of subjects. The forum also enabled great interactions between the attending university faculty and the Intel technologists. The attending faculty had found the forum very informative and provided feedback that their attendance at the Forum is worthwhile with the inspiring and engaging speakers.
