Students honored at Sri Lanka Science and Engineering Fair to compete at Intel ISEF   The 2009 Sri Lanka Science and Engineering Fair (SLSEF) was held in February 2010 in the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL) auditorium in Colombo.

The winners of this year’s event, who are yet to be publically announced, will represent Sri Lanka at the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF), to be held in San Jose, California, USA, in May 2010. Two local individual project winners and one group project leader will compete at Intel ISEF.

Sri Lanka was proudly represented at Intel ISEF 2009 in Reno, Nevada by the winners of the Sri Lanka Science and Exhibition Fair 2008. At the 2009 fair, students were judged by an eminent panel including professors, PhD graduates and chartered engineers.

SLSEF is a collaborative effort of the Ministry of Education, the National Science Foundation and IESL – and showcases the country’s most innovative science and research talent. The Intel International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF) is the world’s largest pre-college science competition.
