Intel® Teach Finally Goes “Online” in APAC!
Australia, Proud to First Launch TEO!

The first 4 groups of Master Trainers (MTs) started their TEO course, as a joint initiative between Intel and the NSW & Victorian Department of Education in September 2007. Building on the initial Intel Teach Essentials, the new online course TEO addressed the need for meaningful assessments with a clear focus on project-based learning (PBL) approaches. Also, TEO strengthened teachers’ confidence in using new technologies engaging students in deeper learning. Lastly, it provided collegial sharing amongst teachers, despite their locations, through Internet technologies.

Participant feedbacks were positive in particular with the excellent course content, web 2.0 technology use and the combination of Face-to-face (F2F) & Online delivery format. Many of the MTs who completed the course are being prepared for their roles as facilitators at their own Participant Trainer (PT) trainings!

Educators in Korea, waited so loooong for Online!

In Korea, the 1st TEO pilot called “TEO Nationwide Pioneer Workshop” kicked off on December 8 jointly with Korea MOE (Ministry of Edcuation), KERIS*, KADO* and 16 provincial offices of education.

Educators in Korea, waited so loooong for Online! Educators in Korea, waited so loooong for Online!
When Korea team first recruited participants, team was overwhelmed to see over 100 nationwide educators volunteered despite year-end and holiday seasons. While only 50 in total were selected due to quality concerns, team could obviously sense how long Korean teachers waited for this new & innovative program with eagerness to experience the leadership paradigm shift experience.

Enjoy what Korean teachers say about TEO!

“Frankly, TEO looked humble at first sight as we were already quite familiar with fashionable online programs. But as we go deeper, we can’t help loving it with so rich contents, brilliant activities and deep enough educational philosophies.”

“I am always grateful for Intel for continuous exploring and introducing innovative educational tools for us educators. With Intel, we have very strong confidence to make education better.”

* KERIS & KADO are government RTA (Regional Training Agency) in Korea. KERIS stands for Korea Educational Research & Information Service. KADO stands for Korea Agency for Digital Opportunities and Promotion.
