In February 2010, Intel signed a three-year memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Education to train school, college and university teachers on the Intel® Teach Program. Intel® Teach, part of the Intel® Education Initiative, helps K–12 teachers around the world understand how, when, and where to bring technology tools and resources into their classrooms.
Also in Pakistan, Intel signed a MoU with IT company, Viper Technology, to help train adults in technology literacy skills. Viper staff members have been trained on the Intel Easy Steps Basic Course, a pilot program that has been implemented in Pakistan, designed to help address deficiencies in IT literacy for the country’s adult population.
These MoUs are an important aspect of the Intel® Education Initiative, creating partnerships with various stakeholders, including the Federal and Provincial Ministries of Education, strategic partners and NGOs to improve the quality of education around Asia Pacific.
