Japanese and Korean Teachers Share BKM for 21st Century Teaching
Sponsored by Intel, Tokyo Gakugei University, and three Board of Education Consortiums, the Education Forum 2008 was held on March 1 at the hall of Tokyo Gakugei University, with the theme of "21st Century Teaching". Ninety in-service teachers, pre-service teachers and faculties participated in the Forum.

First of all, the vice president of Tokyo Gakugei University gave the opening speech, and Mr. Hayakawa, a commentator on education from NHK (Japan Broadcasting Association) addressed the Forum. Then two in-service teachers presented their Intel® Teach case studies and a pre-service teacher showcased her unit portfolios developed at the Intel® Teach Pre-service Curriculum. Ms. Billie Kang, a Korea specialized in collaboration class between Korea and Taiwan, shared her insights with Japanese teachers who are expected to start English class at elementary in two years. Each presentation was well received by the audience.

In the exhibition of education ICT equipments, fourteen companies displayed their latest ICT technologies and contents.

This Forum successfully demonstrated:

Impact of Intel® Teach training in Japan and the world; Result of private and public (University and Board of Education) collaboration;

International collaboration between Korea and Japan.
