On 6 March, 2008, Intel Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City DOET held the workshop on the preparation for Vietnam to join Intel ISEF 2009 in Ho Chi Minh City. At the workshop, the invited presenters Dr. Claro Santiago and Dr. Maribel Nonato- two senior Philippine experts in scientific research and judge members of Intel ISEF, not only introduced Intel ISEF, its guideline and regulations, but also shared their expertise in organizing local science fairs and conducting scientific research. The workshop was well received by over 150 participants who were mainly administrators and science teachers from high schools of HCM as well as representatives from provinces of Da Nang, Lam Dong and Quang Tri. Vietnam wished to send its team to attend Intel ISEF 2009. The workshop has helped to generate strong interest among participants.
