Themed “Multi-core: A leap ahead for research and curriculum, the 3rd Intel Asia Academic Forum 2006 was held at the Regent, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Nov. 13-15, 2006. The Forum covers 6 keynotes, 10 parallel sessions, 2 network sessions, 1 panel/dialogue session, 1 media activity, regional activity to a local university and Minister of Higher Education keynote speech with the participation of total 143 attendees, including 82 faculties from 7 Asian countries and 4 attendees from Taiwan Science Councils and Korea MOE. At the Forum, Intel shared details of its technology roadmap, business and research developments and showcased best practices of Asia’s tertiary institutions in curriculum development and research. According to the feedback, the Forum is a total success with tremendous information exchanges, excellent content, enjoyable activities, as well as smooth flow and logistics.
