Supported Processors for Boxed Intel® Desktop Boards D850MV and D850MD

Intel® Desktop Boards D850MV and D850MD with Alternate Assembly (AA) numbers prior to A45420-300, A56423-300, A56430-400, and A62481-400 only support Intel® Pentium® 4 processors with 256KB cache. Intel has revised the supported processor tables for desktop boards D850MV and D850MD. Systems built with board revisions prior to A45420-300, A56423-300, A56430-400, and A62481-400 may experience lockups and/or shutdowns with Pentium® 4 processors with 512KB cache. The table provided below outlines support for all Pentium® 4 processors with D850MV and D850MD desktop boards.

Board revision note: A small bar-coded label, similar to the diagram shown below, can be found on the component side of the desktop board. The numbers following the letters "AA" can help identify the type and version of your desktop board. The AA number contains a 6 digit main number, and a 3 digit dash number (the 3 numbers following the "-").

The statement "...or later" in the above table refers to the dash number portion of the AA number (the three numbers following the "-"). If this number is greater than the number listed in the table, the board supports the associated processor(s).
