Background:
Most SCSI\IDE RAID controllers and AGP video cards require space in option ROM (128k). When some RAID controllers and/or some high-end AGP video cards are used with desktop boards D850EMV2 and D850EMD2, a shortage of option ROM capacity may result. This could result in the SCSI/IDE RAID controllers not properly detecting drives or a video error usually consisting of one long tone followed by a series of short tones.
Solution:
BIOS P14 for D850EMV2 and D850EMD2 has been released. Option ROM usage by on-board devices has been optimized in this BIOS release, resulting in 46k of option ROM space being freed. If you are experiencing any of the symptoms described above or similar symptoms, download and install BIOS P14 or later.
