The
Intel® Desktop Board D815EFV provides a Digital
Video Out Interface to connect external devices
such as digital flat panel displays. This interface
can also connect to a TV-Out (S-video) encoder. The
DVO interface is only active when running in
internal graphics mode.
Before installing the DVO Card, perform the
following steps:
- Download the Express BIOS Update to your hard drive.
- Double-click the executable file from the location on your hard drive where it was saved. This runs the update program.
- Follow the instructions provided in the dialog boxes to complete the BIOS update.
The Video BIOS upgrade should be installed after performing the BIOS upgrade in order to provide DOS and POST support for Digital Flat Panel or TV-out.
- Extract vbios.zip to a floppy.
- Reboot the system with the floppy.
- In iFlash, select update replaceable package module.
- The proper Intel video driver can be installed from the D815EFV Driver CD or you may download and install the latest Intel 82815 Video Driver.
Plug one end of the DVI cable into the digital video out port on the desktop board. Plug the other end of the cable into the DVO card. Mount the card in the PCI/AGP bracket on the system back panel.
Intel is not manufacturing the DVI card or
cable. The DVI cards are available from Molex.
