The successful results achieved during the testing should be considered in context. That is, the results provide a "snapshot" of the functionality of the board. Peripheral and software manufacturers may change their designs at any time, with or without notice, thereby affecting operation of their products. No attempt is made to retest the board when any part of the test vehicle or its configuration changes (e.g. drivers, BIOS revisions, software updates, etc.). Thus, successful completion of Intel's testing does not guarantee compatibility with other hardware and software. As a cautionary measure, system integrators should continually verify compatibility. The final decision on whether to include a specific peripheral or software application should be made by the system integrator only after performing compatibility testing with the expansion cards, peripherals and application software that they plan to install in the system.

Hardware Peripherals and Software Included in Compatibility Testing of the Boxed Intel® Desktop Boards DG965WH/DG965OT .

The hardware peripherals and software listed below were included during compatibility testing of the DG965WH/DG965OT desktop boards. It is very important to note that although the hardware peripherals and software listed below were used to test the compatibility of the DG965WH/DG965OT boards, the focus of the testing was not to qualify the hardware peripherals and software against the board, but to ensure that no obvious motherboard problems existed.

During testing, Intel performs tests using a representative sample of publicly available hardware peripherals and software to determine if the DG965WH/DG965OT boards achieved a high level of compatibility when installed in a system environment. The DG965WH/DG965OT boards successfully completed a number of system tests performed in test vehicles which included use of the hardware peripherals and software listed below. The test descriptions and test vehicle configuration varied throughout the testing, so they are not listed.
