CMOS Battery Low message when using Chassis Intrusion Switch with Boxed Intel® Desktop Board D845BG, D845PT and D845BGSE

Summary:
When a chassis intrusion switch is attached to the chassis intrusion header and the chassis is left open for an extended period, a drain on the CMOS battery may occur and any or all of the following symptoms may be observed on the Intel® desktop boards D845BG, D845PT, D845BGSE:

During POST a CMOS Battery Low error message may be displayed
CMOS settings may reset to defaults
During POST a CMOS Battery Failure error message may be displayed
The system may power on when plugged in AC power

If a chassis intrusion switch is installed, it is recommended that the chassis intrusion cable be disconnected from the desktop board if the chassis will be left open for more than 15 minutes.
