This communication applies to Intel® Desktop Board D845GVSR.
With the release of BIOS version P18, the CMOS map was changed to include the "USB Enable/Disable" function. If the BIOS had been previously customized with the Intel® Integrator Toolkit (ITK), the Advanced > USB Configuration menu may appear completely blank when the BIOS is updated to version P18.
Follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
Solution :
- Shut down the computer safely and remove the chassis cover.
- Move the BIOS Configuration jumper to the Maintenance position. (Refer to the Quick Reference Guide or Product Guide for the location of this jumper.)
- Power on the computer and enter BIOS Setup (press F2 during boot).
- Go to the Advanced > USB Configuration menu.
- Enable the USB Function.
- Go to the Exit menu and select Save Custom Defaults.
- Save and exit the BIOS setup.
- Turn off the computer.
- Move the BIOS Configuration jumper back to the normal mode position.
- Power on the computer and enter the BIOS Setup again to verify that the Advanced > USB Configuration menu is now back to normal.
