Driver/Software Installation Instructions
Intel® Matrix Storage Technology Driver must be installed during Windows Setup:
In order to make use of the Matrix Storage Driver, it must be installed during Setup of Microsoft* Windows* XP Media Center Edition 2005. To begin Windows Setup, boot from the Windows installation CD. At the beginning of Windows Setup, press <F6> to install a third-party SCSI or RAID driver.
Note: To create a floppy disk, download the Intel® Matrix Storage Technology F6 Driver Disk from the link above in the drivers section. Run the executable from the PC in which the floppy will be created. Follow the on screen directions to create the floppy.
When prompted, insert the floppy disk with the Intel® Matrix Storage Technology driver. Install the Intel® 82801GR/GH SATA RAID Controller (ICH7R/DH) driver. Follow the Windows Setup instructions to complete the operating system installation.
Device Driver Installation Order
The device drivers for desktop boards D945GBO and D945GPM should be installed in the recommended order below:
- Intel® Chipset Software Installation Utility
- Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator driver
- Intel® Audio Studio
- Intel® PRO Network Connections driver
- Intel® Viiv™ Software 1.0
Update Rollup 2 for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005:
To install this update, you must have Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 and .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 installed. Download the components from this location:
Once both the components have been installed, download and install the Update Rollup 2 for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. |
