Voltage and current requirements are different between the Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor and the Mobile Intel Pentium® 4 Processor - M. While a Mobile Pentium 4 Processor - M may physically fit into the desktop board mPGA478 processor socket; it will not function correctly and may damage both the mobile processor and the desktop board.
This action may also void the warranty on both the processor and desktop board.
