The AC/DC power adapters supporting interchangeability are readily available in the market today. They support worldwide conversion of AC input between 100-240V AC, 50-60Hz to 19V DC output. The AC/DC power adapter consists of two parts: AC/DC power adapter and AC cable. The DC plug is a standardized 5.5mm OD diameter barrel plug with a length of 12.5mm and a 2.5mm ID inner pin in the center of the barrel plug. All AC/DC power adapters are designed to accommodate a 3-pin AC cable.
Warning: - Use only power adapters that have been specifically recommended by the laptop manufacturer for the laptop on which it will be used. Using a power adapter which is not designed for your specific laptop may result in overheating and a possible fire. The power supplies in this section are intended for use by hardware manufacturers who have adopted Intel's Common Building Block (CBB) design approaches, and the power supplies have not been tested for safety with specific barebone laptops.
- Buy only safety and EMC certified power supplies as required by regulatory authorities in your region or country for the intended application or laptop.
- AC/DC power adapters listed only for 100-240v voltage and 50-60Hz current supply.
- AC/DC power adapters are NOT to be covered by insulation while in use. Overheating may occur if covered.
- Do not allow the AC/DC power adapter to rest on a body part for long period of time as a burn may result.
- Make sure the power cord attached is designed for the plug style in the country of use.
