Balanced Technology Extended (BTX) Chassis Tested/Source List

Intel recommends that you use a chassis that compliant to BTX Interface Specification v1.0a, Intel 2004 Performance Profile (04B) Specification for the Intel® Pentium® 4 processor and Intel® Celeron® D processor, Intel 2005 Performance Profile (05B) Specification for Intel® Pentium® D processor based on 90nm process technology and Intel 2006 Profile(06) Specification for the Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor . This chassis list has been provided to Intel dealers as an aid in the system integration process. Intel has determined these chassis meet MINIMUM electrical, thermal, mechanical fit and functional compatibility to properly support the Intel® Pentium® 4 processor, Intel® Celeron® D processor ,Intel® Pentium® D processor and Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor. These chassis were tested by Intel latest Intel 2004 Performance Profile (04B) , Intel 2005 Performance Profile (05B) and Intel 2006 Profile(06)maximum power utility program at 90%, 85% and 80% loading to derive temperature profile in 35^oC chamber with the following peripherals installed:

When purchasing, it is best to specifically state that you want a Balanced Technology Extended (BTX) chassis to ensure you receive the correct model. The model numbers listed below were supplied by the manufacturer and may change at any time. The following is a preliminary list of third party chassis which their respective vendors have advertised as being specifically designed to meet the Balanced Technology Extended (BTX) Interface Specification in support of BTX compatible SKUs of boxed Intel® Pentium® 4 processors and Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor . Intel has not evaluated or tested these chassis for compatibility with the Intel ® Core™2 Duoprocessor or verified compliance with the BTX Interface Specification. Please check with the chassis vendor for specific chassis models, availability by country, product compatibility and BTX specification compliance.

This tested/source list demonstrates only one possible configuration. These chassis may be available with other power supplies that can have effects on system performance. Please check with your preferred vendors for more chassis information.
