What the Enhanced Extended Life Cycle Plan (eXLP) is:
- The Enhanced Extended Life Cycle Plan (eXLP) communicates Intel’s intention to use reasonable efforts to make certain Intel® Desktop Board SKUs are available to North American Authorized Intel® Distributors for a period of time longer than Intel’s customary desktop board life cycle. The eXLP program will make every effort to extend the life of a product for roughly three years.
What the Extended Life Cycle Plan is:
- The Extended Life Cycle Plan communicates Intel’s intention to use reasonable efforts to make certain Intel® Desktop Board SKUs available to North American Authorized Intel® Distributors for a period of time longer than Intel’s customary desktop board life cycle.
What the Extended Life Cycle Plan is not:
- The Extended Life Cycle Plan does not in any way limit Intel’s ability to make Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to the listed Board SKUs.
- The Extended Life Cycle Plan does not in any way guarantee the stability of the software image, which can be subject to ECOs (see Product Change Notifications)
- The Extended Life Cycle Plan only applies to the Intel® Desktop Board SKUs indicated, and does not in any way impact purchase of any other Intel® products. It should be considered a pilot program, and does not obligate Intel to continue to offer on future SKUs.
- The Extended Life Cycle Plan is not related to the Intel® Stable Image Platform Program (Intel® SIPP). They are different programs with different objectives. Neither program in any way modifies or extends the other.
- The fact that the listed board SKUs are made available to Authorized Intel Distributors does not guarantee an end customer will be able to purchase any given volume of product from those distributors.
- The Extended Life Cycle Plan is being communicated to North American distributors and channel customers only.
