φ64-bit computing on Intel architecture requires a computer system with a processor, chipset, BIOS, operating system, device drivers and applications enabled for Intel® 64 architecture (formerly known as Intel® Extended Memory 64 Technology, or Intel® EM64T). Processors will not operate (including 32-bit operation) without an Intel 64 architecture-enabled BIOS. Performance will vary depending on your hardware and software configurations. With support for dual 64-bit Intel® Xeon® processors with an 800MHz system bus and the Intel® E7525 chipset, Intel® Server Board SE7525RP2 is capable of powering solutions ranging from entry-level to enterprise-critical. Another capability, vital for running high-end graphics applications, is the board's support for up to 8 GB of Registered ECC DDR 2 400 SDRAM, dual-interleaved for improved performance.
For solutions requiring especially fast I/O, the board features next-generation PCI Express* interconnect technology, which also expands application functionality by providing a common foundation for serial connectivity among servers, desktops, mobile devices, and other communications platforms. |
