Know your technology and product. Understand your potential market and customer. That's the best advice for preparing to approach Intel Capital with a proposal.
Intel Capital's experience has shown that during the analysis and negotiation phases, entrepreneurs often have questions regarding the practices of Intel Capital and other potential co-investors.
In an effort to help explain this way of doing business, Intel Capital has put together a partial checklist of factors we consider and procedures we follow in the course of choosing the investments we make. While incomplete, this may help offer some guidance on the decisions and preparation prior to approaching investors with a proposal.
The Process
Provide a brief non-confidential overview of your company and its business. Please include product offerings, target market, business model, management, etc. Any documents marked as confidential or proprietary will not be read. Due to the large number of proposals received, our standard policy is to hold all initial conversations free of Non Disclosure Agreements (NDA). We will follow-up with detailed conversations under NDA at a later time if deemed necessary. Please be advised that duplicate proposal entries will be eliminated. See Intel's personal privacy policy.
For Email or mail submissions, please include contact name, company name, telephone number, Email address, referral information and a brief proposal description. Provide attachments as necessary (e.g. text document, spreadsheet/graphs, and presentations).
Email is the preferred method for contacting us. We will promptly acknowledge receipt of the proposal, but it may take up to 4 weeks to process your request. Please send emails to: intel.capital.proposals@intel.com
