Intel to Invest in Enjoyer and Collaborate in Software Innovations

Hangzhou, February 11, 2009 - Today, Intel Corporation announced investment and technical collaboration agreements with Enjoyor Technology Group (Enjoyor). The Intel Capital investment will help support Enjoyor’s R&D and innovation in traffic intelligence and Digital healthcare. In addition, Intel Software & Services Group signed a 3 years business collaboration agreement with Enjoyor which would deepen the technical and business development collaboration to improve the company’s independent innovation and go to market capability, help realize industry transformation, thus promoting the development of Hangzhou’s economy.

Tong Guili, vice Mayor of Hangzhou Municipality; Kostas Katsohirakis, vice president of Intel Software and Services Group (SSG) and director of Strategic Business Development; Cadol Cheung, Managing Director of Intel Capital Asia Pacific; Wang Hui, Chairman of Enjoyor; and Zhang Lizhong, General Manager of Enjoyor all attended the signing ceremony held today in Hangzhou.

According to the agreement, the investment and collaboration aim to strengthen Enjoyor’s innovation in intelligence technology and mobile Internet solutions. In the area of traffic intelligence, the two parties will speed the application of MID (Mobile Internet Device) for traffic management, to relieve traffic congestion and improve road capacity and efficiency. In the area of digital healthcare, the two parties will accelerate the development and application of Intel® Atom™ processor based solutions while gradually improving the patent-centered wireless clinical system. As demand from China’s MID market continues to grow, Intel will strengthen Enjoyor’s innovation while forging collaborations in market development to help Enjoyor explore domestic and international markets.

Intel first launched the Intel Software Park Program in Hangzhou in 2006, where it established the Intel Zhejiang Software Technology Innovation Support Centre to provide services and technical support for local IT companies. Enjoyor is the second company in the Software Park of Hangzhou’s High-Tech Industry Development Zone to receive an investment from Intel. Previously, Intel Capital invested in Zhejiang Supcon Technology Co., Ltd. (Supcon). A key project of the Hangzhou government, the Software Park has played an instrumental role in the development of Hangzhou’s economy. Intel will continue to work closely with companies in the Software Park to support home-grown innovation and further contribute to regional economic growth.
